The Baron ride again

Thank-you for helping me get my 150cc Baron back on the the road. It's great to know where I can get the parts I need for it. Your service was great. Now if I can just find a wiring harness for a 125cc Seasang ATV. Got any ideas? lol

Ice Bear 250cc Road Warrior

JR has been awesome to work with right from the beginning. My trike arrived within a week of ordering it and she was in great condition on arrival. Eventhough there were no instructions that came with the trike on how to assemble it, we had it put together in no time. Every time I've had a question, JR has been quick to either call me back or e-mail me to help me in any way he can. I can't tell you how many people stop to look at my "Vixen" every time I take her out for a ride. The trike met my expectations and I'm having a blast on her. My front fender just recently got broken, so I'm currently waiting to see if I can get a replacement. Thrifty Scooters and JR have been great to do business with.... highly recommended!

Great service and product

I bought a 3wheel scooter from Thrifty Scooter, and I only have praised for that company.

1) they returned my calls timely each time I tried to contact them and they were not able to answer the phone in person.

2) The scooter was delivered on the day they said it would.

3) The paperwork was handled professionally.

4) The scooter is new, but there was a problem with it. It was a factory issue. The speedometer cable did not work. I called in and within 3 days, a new cable arrived at my home. The people of the company told me, on the phone, how to remove the old cable, install the new one. I am not a mechanics at all, but they were so helpful that I could do it. They were not happy until I was happy.

That is what I call professional services. Thank you, Thrifty Scooters. We need more companies like you.

Great service!

JR is extremely knowledgeable about scooters, and he uses his knowledge in the very best way: to help the customer without price-gouging. He showed me how to fix my own scooter (who does that?) and had the best price on the part I needed (I checked around). My brother in law took his scooter somewhere else for repair and is broke now. Customer service is very important to me, and ThriftyScooters delivers it! My business will always go JR's way!

Motobravo GK_250 go cart

I'm very impressed by ThriftyScooters' efficiency and knowledge. I Sent JR a picture of a Motobravo GK 250 Dune buggy spline with a brief description of what I was looking for. He came back with a price and availability the same day. That was impressive but what was even more impressive was that he went out of his way to accomodate me by making sure I could get my part the following day(friday) just in time for my w/end outting. Price for part and shipping were very honest and fair. I live in Southern California and there are a few dealers here but none have after sale service like Thrifty does. Shop Thriftyscooters with confidence!

Wheel for NST DB200 Enduro

JR,

I have to take a moment to say THANK YOU! I have been looking for rear wheels for my two NST DB200 Enduros for nearly nine months. I live near Salt Lake City, UT. I have talked to people all over the country from Florida to California to Washington. Most said they could not help me. A handful tried but were never able to deliver. Some even tried China. I even contacted the manufacturer. First they sent me the wrong wheel and then they told me they could not help me. I was pretty to surprised to hear that the manufacturer could not even help me.

JR, you have been the only person on this planet to help me. What makes it even better is the quality of the wheels. The spokes are a heavier gauge and the hub is a higher quality metal.

Thanks for coming through for me when no one else on the planet was able to help. You were great to work with. Your expertise with the DB200 really put me at ease. I thought I had made the biggest mistake in my life. You made me happy with my motorcycles again. I would recommend you to anyone.

Thanks again for your help,
Mark McArthur

A+

Buying a scooter over the internet is a little scary. JR gave me all of the right information and made the buying process easy. My scooter arrived within a week of the order date. Some assembly was required for my scooter, but I was prepared for that. JR helped me and was very responsive for all of the little questions and details I was looking for. All in all, a very positive experience.

Great Guy

He is just a cool and total polite guy. He was in the middle of moving and still took the time to give me great service. He is extremely knowledgeable about his line of work. The prices are always reasonable and JR def. will shoot you straight.

Thanks for your great customer service.

Richard

Great LLK 150cc Scooter

Received the scooter in record time, paperwork arrived soon after the scooter. This was a smooth transation. The scooter arrived in great shape, shipped on the 13th and arrived at my house the 16th. The handle bars, mirrors, battery, and footboards where all that needed to be installed. I charged the battery while changing the oil and it started up with no problems. Everything works great. Thank JR. It's more than I expected.

Chinese Scooter Parts

Road Warrior 250cc

Hey JR,

I was a little worried about ordering a motorcycle on line. However after speaking to you on the telephone I placed the order for the "Road Warrior Chopper"

I gotta tell you I did not believe it when I removed the cover containing "Baby" that's what I call her now. The pictures on line do not really show off Baby's curves and sleek lines.

Easy assembly to get her ready for the road. While putting on her finishing touches people stopped by asking many questions. My friend, a Harley rider, eyed Baby and said I can't believe got got that much motorcycle at such a great price. Baby and I will hit the road soon and I know that eyes will pop as we go by.

Jr, I can not thank you enough for all the help answering my many questions and for your support. You and Baby have put back the desire of a 64 year old man requiring oxygen 24/7.

Oh by the way Baby is the only one in Abilene Texas.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these vehicles legal in my state?

The majority of the vehicles sold on this site are street legal in all continuous 48 states. However, please check with your local DMV for specific state requirements. California residents require C.A.R.B. approval to be legal in the state of California.

Can I cancel my order?

Once an order is placed to Thriftyscooters.com, your order immediately enters our order processing system. We will gladly refund your purchase amount less the 3.5% processing fee which we incured to process your credit card.

Can I return or trade-in my scooter?

All sales are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or trade-ins.

Do you offer any warranty?

Yes! We offer a 6-month limited warranty applicable to factory defective parts only. Warranty excludes damage caused during shipping, misuse, abuse, or failure to properly maintain the vehicle. Please refer to our "Warranty & Returns" section. On certain vehicles, we offer extended warranty during the sale up to 36 months.

How do I start my Moped Scooter?

Step 1: Place scooter on parking stand (stand is located towards the rear of scooter next to kick starter).

Step 2: Put key into ignition and turn it to the (on) position. Note: Make sure kill switch is in the (on) position.

Step 3: Put unleaded gas into scooter (premium gas recommended). Note: Make sure you have the fuel line connected to the carburetor. It is located on the left side of the bike underneath the seat. There is a compartment that exposes the carburetor and what you are looking for will be either a brass nub 3/4 of an inch long or a hollow nub. You may not see it, however, you should be able to feel it if you are standing on the left side of the bike.

Step 4: Kick start scooter 6-7 times to build compression. Note: Do not pull on throttle or it will flood the carburetor.

Step 5: Now use the electric start (hold in rear left brake lever and press button on right that looks like lightening bolt). Hold for 3-4 seconds. Note: Do not hold it in any longer than 5 seconds at a time or you will burn the starter.

Step 6: Repeat sequence 6-7 times.

Step 7: Once started, adjust idle speed if needed. Note: To adjust idle lift up seat and in engine compartment on the top towards the farthest side of the carburetor, is a Gold Phillip screw attached onto a spring. Turn clockwise until it is set to your preference.

How much assembly is required?

Fortunately, one does not need to be mechanically-inclined to assemble the vehicles. Most vehicles are 85% - 95% assembled. The typical requirements are installations of the front wheel, side mirrors, battery, and trunk.

If I placed an order on a scooter, atv, or dirt bike today, how long will it take for it to arrive?

It all depends on your location. It can range from 3-5 business days if you're in the West Coast or Midwest to 5-10 business days if you're in the East Coast. Remember, we do not ship to P.O. boxes. It usually takes 2 days to process your credit card. We will ship the same day that the funds have cleared.

Is www.thriftyscooters.com website secure?

All online transactions are sent through our secure server and encrypted with 128-bit technology.

Isn’t a 110 cc ATV too big for my child?

We have been selling atv's for 15years and in that time we have only sold 2 50cc atv's. The reason is that the child quickly learns how to ride the atv and can't even climb out of a gutter on the sidewalk. The 90 cc and the 110 cc sell more to young riders. All 90 and 110cc atv’s have a safety throttle governor. This device is all well and good if the child doesn't listen. The important thing to understand is its all about training. The more time you spend training your child the more pleasure they will have with the ATV and the happier you will be with your purchase.

By training we mean the following:
1. Practice stopping and starting and make games out of it, like stopping on a line with the rear wheels touching and stopping on the line with the front wheels touching. spread out the lines until they have a football field of distance between lines.

2. Making a circular track. This will make your child slow down automatically around corners instead of you telling them to slow down.

Remember if you tell them they will not listen. If you make a game out of it they will learn control on their on terms.

What do I do if my purchase arrives damaged?

Thriftyscooters.com is not responsible for shipping damages incurred during delivery. We inspect the crates before they are shipped out. We advise our customers to inspect their item for damages when it arrives. If the item is damaged during shipping, it is your responsibility to have the freight driver acknowledge the damage and notate the damage on the delivery receipt.
